About the event
Artificial intelligence (AI) and large language models (LLMs) are transforming how knowledge is generated, processed, and applied in medicine. Within occupational health, these technologies hold particular promise for low- and middle-income regions where specialist shortages and fragmented data systems impede progress.
This presentation introduces key AI concepts, demystifying machine learning, deep learning, and LLMs in accessible terms for occupational health professionals. It explores how these tools can be responsibly harnessed to strengthen surveillance, hazard prediction, administrative efficiency, and clinical decision support in occupational health.
